M.Tech (Self Finance) Admissions  Academic Year 2026-2027

 SCHEDULE FOR WRITTEN TEST AND INTERVIEW

• The written test and interview will be conducted only in physical (offline) mode at NIT Warangal in the respective Departments. 

• The original certificates to be produced for verification are listed at the end of the document.

• The rules of reservation are not applicable to the self-financed programs.

• The written test would be based on the GATE syllabus of the respective Department, except for the M.Tech. (Self-Finance) Programme in Quantum Technology. 

• For admission to the M.Tech. (Self-Finance) Programme in Quantum Technology, the written test would be conducted based on the GATE syllabus of the respective disciplines, as specified below:

  • Candidates possessing B.Tech. degrees in CSE / AI & DS shall appear for the written test based on the CS GATE syllabus. 

  • Candidates possessing B.Tech. degrees in ECE/EIE shall appear for the written test based on the EC GATE syllabus.

  • Candidates possessing B.Tech. degrees in Engineering Physics shall appear for the written test based on the PH GATE syllabus.

  • Candidates possessing B.Tech. degrees in Mathematics and Computing shall appear for the written test based on the MA GATE syllabus

1. The candidates shall come prepared to stay for one day extra, if required.

2. Hostel accommodation may be provided upon arrival on a payment basis, subject to availability. 

3. Hotels are also available near the Institute.

ORIGINAL CERTIFICATES TO BE PRODUCED FOR VERIFICATION

• SSC/ Class X certificate in support of Date of Birth.

• Intermediate/ (10+2)/ Class XII certificate.

• Provisional Certificate/ UG Degree Certificate/ Course Completion Certificate/ Certificate from the current Institute mentioning the expected date of results publication, if final examinations are not completed. 

• Marks Sheets of the qualifying Examination. If final examinations are not completed, marks sheet up to previous semester shall be produced.

• Experience certificate(s) (if applicable) and No Objection Certificate from the current employer (if employed) issued on or after March 27, 2025 (Annexure I of Information Brochure).

• GATE score card (if available).

• Any other relevant documents.
